1 Introduction
- The UK company has an extensive range of teaching and learning resources.
- The Star Globe is being assembled starting on 5 April 2021.
- It is suggested that children of 14 and older could manage to complete it unaided.
- The project is recommended for its ingenuity and learning potential.
- "The StarGlobe shows the whole celestial sphere. and it is an ingenious three-dimensional star chart which works at any latitude for any time and date.
- The Star-Globe itself rests in a simple cradle which shows the horizon. This means that you know which way to look to find and identify the stars, constellations and planets.
- Because it works for any latitude, it can be used to demonstrate facts about the universe and the night sky which are otherwise very difficult to explain and understand.
- There is a minibook which is full of ideas and background information."
- The globe.
- The cradle which holds the globe.
- The minibook which sits under the cradle. It describes experiments, facts and ideas about the celestial sphere.
- The calculator which sets the globe, and a tape-measure to determine star elevation.

- Assuming that a few readers will choose their own method for whatever reason, we start with page 3.
- Item 2 - the advice is to use a ball point pen which has run out of ink. Normally, every ball point pen you pick up has run out of ink! However, press on.
- Item 3 - it has been decided to allow much more sticking area for all joined surfaces.
- Item 5 - it has been decided to form the four pages and then stick them together.
6 A typical section
You note that most edges have extra sticking space beyond that recommended.
As you proceed, you know which to cut as recommended.

Bottoms up!
